What is career coaching?

Career coaching is a relatively new profession. Building on the foundation of the career development industry, which included vocational counsellors and career counsellors, career coaching takes a focussed and practical approach to job-hunting and career development. In short, career coaching works. Following the tried-and-tested coaching model, career coaching helps people make satisfying job choices and enjoy better careers.

As a career coach you can work the way you want to. Coaching sessions can be carried out face-to-face, by telephone or email, on an individual basis or in groups. You can work from home or from an office – the choice is up to you. Many career coaches are self-employed, but there are also opportunities to work for large organisations. Career coaching is a growing profession.

Self study course Our career coaching course is a 16 module self-study course that we email to you on a weekly basis. Each week you get a new module to study. Once you've enrolled, you'll begin to receive the course modules. At the end of most of the modules you'll find a self-study assignment.
