Back to the list

Why did you decide to enrol on the course?

I like writing and enjoy using words. The course seemed a good way of learning copywriting skills so I could work from home freelance.

Did you make any contact with the Institute before enrolling?

No.

What was your impression of your course when it arrived?

Well laid out and easy to follow. For a course on copywriting, however, I was a little surprised at the endless typos and errors throughout the course material. It needs proof-reading and copy-editing. [Sorry about this. Daniel has been rooting out all the typos over the last month. Hopefully we've now got rid of them! Kit]

Did you consider any other courses?

No.

Ultimately, what do you want to do?

Work as a freelance copywriter.

How are you progressing with your course?

Just finished the last assignment.

What might you say to someone who was thinking of enrolling on the course?

Can you write properly? Can you express yourself using the English language correctly? Do you have a real desire to learn the tools and skills of copywriting? Then go ahead and enrol. It's not nearly as difficult as you might think, especially if you like playing with words and enjoy writing.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

And if you're worried about having to go back to school, study, write essays and stuff, don't. I'm 56 for Heavan's sake! I did it. Your love of writing is something that stays with you all your life. And hey, just think what you'll achieve. The respect of your friends. A diploma with letters after your name. But more important, you'll have the skills to earn money from home - doing something you enjoy. Just go for it, and stick with it!
