I have worked within a marketing environment for over 13 years, and really enjoy the writing element of my role. I now have a young family and have decided to resign for Corporate life to maintain a better work-life balance. I spoke with a colleague who had already taken the course and she suggested it to me. I investigated and thought it would suit me very well, so enrolled and never looked back!

Yes, I briefly considered the *** courses, but having completed 2 courses with them, I found the text books very hard going - They really need a better copywriter!

Locally there are few marketing agencies or copywriters advertised, so I hope to help small local businesses with their regional advertising, POS etc. I will also be continuing some freelance work for ***** and I hope to gain some work from some of the agencies I currently use within a Corporate market place. My ultimate goal would be to have a successful business that my sons (only 6 and 2 and a half at the moment!) would like to work in when the time comes.

How are you progressing with your course?

Module 7 at the moment. So far I have gained A grades all the way through, so I hope this continues. I actually finish at ****** this week, so will have more time to complete my course and I aim to "graduate" at the end of July.

What might you say to someone who was thinking of enrolling on the course?

Go for it! The course really helps to focus your mind on writing, even if you are going to stay within a corporate role, the course will help sharpen the edges of your writing for presentations, letters, brochures etc.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

Just a comment re the actually course work folder, would it be possible to print on the double side of the pages, to reduce the size of the folder? It seems so large when it first arrives and also it would reduce your costs in paper and postage. Also in my particular folder some of the pages where not in numerical order . A bit of colour through it would brighten the whole thing up, especially the examples of the ad's etc.
