Why did you decide to enrol on the course? I have to write text for product brochures and adverts and wanted some help. It's also an added qualification. Did you make any contact with the Institute before enrolling? No. What was your impression of your course when it arrived? Initially daunted by the huge folder but soon realised it could be tackled in small chunks. Did you consider any other courses? Yes, but this one met my needs perfectly. Ultimately, what do you want to do? I would like to write for a living, possibly studying other types of writing such as fiction. How are you progressing with your course? Great! I am halfway through and most of it has been great fun. Only one module (press releases) wasn't so much fun, but it wasn't difficult. What might you say to someone who was thinking of enrolling on the course? Go for it! It's enjoyable, you can do it at your own speed and you get a qualification at the end of it. If you enjoy writing and have good English skills you won't find it difficult. Is there anything else you'd like to add? Correspondence courses are perfect for people at work who can't get to regular classes. I will definitely do it again in the future. It also makes you feel like a child again, waiting for the grade on your latest assignment! |
