Why did you enrol on the course?

Personal development of a basic skill I believed I had with an opportunity to turn this into a business. What could be more rewarding and satisfying - helping people move forward and getting paid for it.

Did you make any contact with the Institute before enrolling?

Yes I did. I called Kit Sadgrove and got more information. Very encouraged by this I signed up the next week.

What was your impression of the course when it arrived?

I was pleased with the presentation and content. At first I wondered if it was a bit light in content but having completed all the assignments realise there is a lot of work in there.

Did you consider any other courses?

Yes I did. The courses I looked at had some face to face contact built in to the syllabus. However I believe the contact with Tutors on this course was adequate for my needs. I also believe that the organisations offering these courses are high priced to cover their overheads of management infrastructure etc. I wasn't prepared to pay for that. This course has more than served my needs and I had excellent support from my tutors.

Ultimately, what do you want to do?

Be a successful life coach as part of a self-employed portfolio. I have taken the first steps, have a company name and my website is being built right now.

What might you say to someone who was thinking of enrolling on the course?

If you are thinking about it, take the step. I was cynical at first wondering if the comments I read were actually from the Institute as a marketing tool (sorry!). I can state I am a genuine student who has just attained the Diploma. You need discipline to keep working through the assignments. It is thought-provoking and a real learning experience. Having the qualification means in my own mind I can go and advertise my practice without feeling a fraud.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

Network with other students - they help the motivation and provide shared learning opportunities.
