Well I always wanted to do a counselling diploma. However because there are not many universities in the uk who provide a diploma course I decided to do it by this institute.
Did you make any contact with the Institute before enrolling?
Actually to be honest I didn't. I was a bit afraid of my money going to waste on an institution I was not sure about but I guess it was just a risk I had to take. But I would not call it wasting money because I really did learn a lot out of this course. The course also allows you to be involved into an organisation which provides you with experience of what you are learning.
What was your impression of the course when it arrived?
Well it wasnt like other courses where you are flooded with information.
At this point you usually get put off studying. However there was a folder and a portfolio and a start up pack. There was also a letter from the organisation explaining what I had to do. I found this very useful, also there was a question and answer sheet. This was used if I had any questions for my personal tutor.
Did you consider any other courses?
No.
Ultimately, what do you want to do?
I want to become a counsellor or a child physicologist.
How are you progressing with your course?
From my point of view I think I am doing well. As i have completed most of my assignments.
What might you say to someone who was thinking of enrolling on the course?
I think it will definitely be worth the time. You will gain a lot of experience and in depth knowledge about the course.
