I decided to enrol on the Diploma in Counselling course because it's
something that I have always wanted to do, but I never pushed myself to step
forward and do it, until recently.
Did you make any contact with the Institute before enrolling?
Yes I did. I phoned and enquired about the course before actually starting it. The institue staff were very helpful and answered all of my queries.
What was your impression of the course when it arrived?
I was impressed! I didn't expect it to look as professional as it did, and I was very happy with the free textbook, folders, and all the guidance notes.
Did you consider any other courses?
Yes, Phsychological Counselling. I decided not to go for this one first, because it looked more complex. Maybe in the future!
Ultimately, what do you want to do?
I want to successfully complete the course and go on to become a successful Counsellor.
How are you progressing with your course?
I am probably a quarter of the way through at the moment, but I think it all depends on the way you manage your time. As I have just recently got married, Ive had other priorities get in the way, which has taken up the time I could have used to complete the assignments. Whenever I get a bit time, I do some work every so often, so that I dont fall behind.
What might you say to someone who was thinking of enrolling on the course?
Go for it - its brilliant. Home learning is a good way to learn and work around other priorities!
