It interested me and being able to do it through home study suited me as I do shift work and the fact that it was an institute in itself and the tutors are professionals who work in the business every day and I felt that was the best experience you could get.
Did you make any contact with the Institute before enrolling?
No.
What was your impression of the course when it arrived?
It was great all the course work and notes plus the book for starting your own business and study aids etc were all great. Then the information about your tutor was great too so you had an idea of who you were dealing with.
Did you consider any other courses?
This was the only one I could find that offered home study although in saying that I didn't do too much research.
Ultimately, what do you want to do?
I would like to specialise in weddings, corporate functions and childrens birthdays.
How are you progressing with your course?
So far so good. My tutor is great and very honest and sees my potential and brings out the best in me. It is really interesting researching the assignments and it is amazing how much you learn it's not just a case of reading a text book and learning it, there is a lot of hands on involved which I love as it makes it easier to learn.
What might you say to someone who was thinking of enrolling on the course?
If it is something you know in your own heart and soul that you want to do and you know you will be good at but need the qualification to back you up, then definitely go for it but be prepared to commit to it. It's not something you can just put half an effort into you really need to put the time in and the results will show and then when you go out working in the business it will benefit you more.
