I decided to enroll on the course, as I have been told by so many people I should start my own event planning business. When I came across the course I was actually looking for a course more related to my current full time job.
But this jumped up and said its now or never, do it and get out of the rut race.
Did you make any contact with the Institute before enrolling?
No I didn't I was very brave and just booked and paid. Also didn't give myself time to think about it. I new I would enjoy the course and just hopped your weren't a scam.
What was your impression of the course when it arrived?
I thought it seemed very professional, I looked through the course material and got so excited about being able to complete it. But also knowing their was help available.
Did you consider any other courses?
Like I said above I wasn't actually looking for an event planning course but stumbled upon it. So I did look at a few other courses but nothing interested me as much.
Ultimately, what do you want to do?
The first 3 modules were easy and I completed them quickly. I have been a bit slow with the module 4 this has been mainly down to a lot of family issues and not having the mentality to work (their has been a death of a close family member.) its also difficult working full time and fitting in venue visits but it is something I have to learn to deal with in order to progress with the course and with my business. I actually pulled it out again last week and I am progressing nicely.
What might you say to someone who is thinking of enrolling on the course?
I would tell them to do it; it's not a very difficult course especially if you have some experience. It's not like going back to college and having deadlines. And if you need any help or if you don't understand things you can contact your tutor or the institute.
I would also suggest to them that life is to short for what ifs and if they have the urge to do it then they should, do the course.
What might you say to someone who was thinking of enrolling on the course?
No except that the course is great and I hope you get more people signing up. It would be great if the site actually had a forum, where students can talk to each other about the course and the starting of their own business.
