Case Studies - Diploma in Event Planning

Joyce Frimpong, Ghana, West Africa

Why did you enrol on the course?

I was planning events for my friends and family and decided to take it up as a profession.

Did you make any contact with the Institute before enrolling?

No.

What was your impression of the course when it arrived?

It arrived quickly and was packaged nicely. The book came as a surprise to me and it has really helped me in setting up my business.

Did you consider any other courses?

I checked it out but most of them were wedding planning courses only. The event planning course is very broad. It gives one a chance to organize a lot of events.

Ultimately, what do you want to do?

I have stated setting up my own event planning company.

What might you say to someone who was thinking of enrolling on the course?

I will definitely recommend it to anyone. It is a good course and a challenging and exciting profession to do.

What might you say to someone who was thinking of enrolling on the course?

Being a secretary and not ready to quit my job until I finish with the course, this has really helped me to study at home and at the same time go to work. My tutor, Mr. Paul Mayfair, has been really helpful. Thanks so much.
