US and Canadian students only A note on certification and your business
Back to the FAQs	The Diploma will let you practice in any state in the US, or in Canada. Most US States have statutes that prevent you from claiming you're a 'Certified Counselor' or 'Licenced Counselor'. This is the only restriction - that you don't use these specific words. The titles vary from state to state. But you can use the word counselor, and you can practice. You can find more details about restricted state words by clicking here Please also note that without further study you won't be able to get a job in a school or hospital. Our Diploma is aimed at helping people such as yourself take on private clients. Remember: no one can stop you working as a therapist. You don't need to pass any certification or board exams to practice. Don't let them hoodwink you into believing this. It isn't true.   Any questions?
