The nail care industry is booming.
And by taking this course, you'll have success 'at your fingertips'
If you're considering becoming a nail technician, congratulations! You've chosen a great time to make that move!
Beauty treatments are no longer the luxury they once were.
Spurred on by the celebrities, women (and increasingly more men) now realise the importance of looking their best.
And we all know how much women enjoy a little pampering.
All of this has meant a huge boom in the beauty business – with nailcare leading the way.
Latest figures put the US nailcare market at over six billion
dollars and the UK is equally flourishing.
What makes nailcare especially exciting is that women are
giving up on doing their nails themselves. After all, why
spend time at home on something that can be fiddly and time-consuming
when it hardly costs the earth to get someone else to do
it for you?
Plus, of course, you get the chance of a little pampering
and a chat thrown in.
And that is great news for anyone considering a career as
a nail technician – they are in demand, and that demand
is set to go on increasing.
So if you'd like a share of some of the £2,000
a year the average woman spends on beauty and hair, becoming
a nail technician makes perfect sense.
And it’s worth adding that more and
more men are waking up to the benefits of personal grooming.
The men’s “beauty” market,
something unheard of a few years ago, is now enjoying such
rapid success and a whopping 35 per cent growth, according
to a recent European Cosmetics report.
More men are investing
their time and money in all aspects of looking good – and
that includes their hands and feet!
ASET Level 4 Accreditation
Our course is fully accredited by ASET, and on
completing it you get an award equivalent to Level
4 of the National Learning Framework (post A level/HNC/HND
standard). ASET is a national Awarding Body recognised
by the Department for Education and Skills and by
the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority in Britain.
It has been accrediting vocational learning for more
than 50 years and now works with more than 200 providers
in the UK and internationally.
By studying for our Nail Technician Diploma, you’ll
give yourself that edge. You couldn’t ask for
anything more from a distance learning course. |

What you need to be a good nail technician
You might think that becoming a nail technician is
simply a case of being able to paint someone’s nails.
But there is a lot more to it than that. Successful nail technicians tend to be:
-
Sociable and enjoy working with
people – Any
beauty treatment is a social occasion, so good nail technicians
know how to help their clients relax and enjoy themselves.
-
Have good attention to detail – This helps you identify any potential problems with clients’ nails
and ensures your work is of the very highest standard.
-
Be good listeners – that way they know exactly
what their client is looking for
-
Enjoy helping other people to
look their best – A
good nail technician wants their client to feel the best
they can about themselves
-
Be creative – With nail technology advancing
every day, there is no end to the looks you can create for your clients
-
Be adaptable – Every client is different and
so are their needs. Discovering what they want and being
able to achieve it for them is all part and parcel of
being a good nail technician.
-
Be looking good themselves – After all,
they want to be an inspiration to their clients!
