Want to know what current students say about the course?
Three months into the course, we ask our learners about their experience - to give us an honest 'warts and all' opinion.
Click 'Read more' on any comment to see what they said. Due to a recent computer glitch we lost most of our late 2016 and early 2017 ratings (grr). But over time you will see more of our current learners' views.
I have been interested in life coaching for some years and did a short course back in . I wanted to gain a qualification in it so that I could use it more with my work and possibly set up my own business.
No. I searched online and this course looked well set out and allowed me both online and paper material. Being short sighted - the paper material is easier on my eyes than a computer screen. Everyone seemed nice and genuine so I enrolled within my first telephone conversation.
Loved it. The books are really good too. The written material is clearly laid out and there were helpful leaflets. The mints were a nice touch- thanks.
Yes.I looked at a few on line and chose the one that covered the areas I was interested and best suited my study needs.
I would like to coach people back into work or into work they love, as I have experienced 3 redundancies myself. I am open minded as to other areas I could coach in but I ma looking to start with a couple of days a week and build from there, working from home.
I'd say the material is great and the support is good and you can pace yourself depending on how long you want to spread the course over. My experience has been very positive and I have passed this on to anyone interested in similar fields.
If there are open style days to meet others on the course and try out some exercises or just meet for lunch and review that would be cool. Don't know if you do that, but it could be a good chance to network and share ideas. Maybe related short courses peole can enroll on for a day or half day.
Well I think. I do around one assignment a fortnight - a minimum of one a month depending on my other work (presently for Newcastle City Council - contact advisor). I have been given A's and an A minus which I hope means I have understood everything and Tom gives great feedback. Of course the proof is always in the pudding - the important thing is to move forward and apply this wonderful opportunity. Thank you for the opportunities this course if giving me.
To ideally become a life coach

It was as good as the counselling course
Become a counsellor and life coach
I would tell them to do it - it's well worth the money
I think it's a really good idea to show us how to market our business as well as giving us the basic skills. A lot of courses don't do this.
I have almost completed it!
I needed a new supplementary flexible business to be able to work from home and run alongside our existing businesses. I felt I had a lot of life and business skills to be well suited to Life Coaching. Blackford seemed the course that looked most suitable for me and a Life Coach on the IoWight that I had come across before had studied with Blackford also.
I emailed some questions regarding the prospectus which were dealt with promptly and effectively.
I was very happy and impressed with the easy to read format and all of the helpful supplementary extras including the mints! Nice touch and necessary to study for sure.
Looked very briefly at Degrees but far too deep and heavy for me.
Offer Life Coaching as a home based business.
Go for it! Highly recommend it so do not hesitate in enrolling. Make sure you have dedicated time to commit to it though as it will improve your learning experience.
Thank you Blackford for your help so far. Have never felt alone whilst on the course as always someone to answer any questions I may have. My Tutor has been great and very helpful with her comments and feedback from my assignments. Have also really enjoyed and found helpful the regular newsletters and 'Diary of a Life Coach' articles. Very relevant.
I am doing very well. It is great that the course is flexible without a time limit as I was able to take the Summer school holidays off from studying whilst my children were at home. I intend to finish my course by the 22nd October and started it on the 21st April.
as I had an interest in life coaching and wanted to know what it was about and if it would be a business I could do
