I wanted to gain a qualification in counselling. After researching various companies I found the Blackford Centre was the course for me.
Yes, via email and telephone to ask and explain further on my current situation and if if this course would best fit as it appealed to me.
I was very impressed with all the course material that arrived. The layout was user friendly and easy to understand. Im currently still working through the course but Blackford have always been very supportive and quickly respond to any questions or queries you may have.
I researched various companies and course data that they were offering I didn't consider any other courses as I felt the Blackford course was the one for me.
I want to start my own counselling business further down the line.
Enroll as soon as you can, you wont be disheartened and like me you will thoroughly enjoy the course.
I am progessing very well and at my own pace to fit in with my current lifestyle situation, as I currently spend aprox 5 weeks abroad, then back to the UK for aprox 3 weeks.
This is something I have been interested in doing for a few years and decided now was the time to do it.
Informative, easy to understand and well organised
Nor at this time
Be self employed as a councillor
Good value, good tutor support, prompt marking and feedback of assignments and easy to understand information
You can work at your own speed meaning there is no pressure for hand in dates for assignments
More than half way through. Have had good marks and feedback for each assignment
I have always wanted to do a counselling course of some significance.
This course will enable me to decide to become a counsellor.
No, but I did ask questions about enrolling.
I was happy it having it both online and in hard copy.
yes I researched but decided on this based on positive and helpful reviews.
Become a counsellor
To do their research, talk to the centre and compare with others.
I am enjoying it. The support and resources are fabulous. Its been a great motivation to me. Its done in a way that is on a level and not out of reach. Its a very user friendly course.
So far so good. My Tutor Jenn is very understanding and encouraging.
I want to eventually become a counsellor
Yes to check to see if I could pay in instalments and to ask if I could pay over the phone as I am a bit cautious about paying online
It was what I expected
I want to become a counsellor and would like to get BACP registered as trying to get employed in that profession without being BACP is almost impossible. I am disappointed that the course is not recognised by the BACP as it is a tutor based course. I will need to take another counselling course after this one to try and get BACP registered.
It is a good course will educate you on counselling and will lead you to do further reading. Shame this course doesn't have online lectures.
I think a twice monthly online lecture by one of the Tutors would be very useful. I do attend online lectures with the Counsellingtutor.com who have help provide me with lots of useful information that compliments this course. Also I have recommended this course but people have a concern that it is not a BACP recognised course which puts people off.
I am getting on well I have obtained an A and A- in the first two assignments and last week submitted my third assignment and have started on my fourth assignment.
i was being made redundant and wanted something to mentally challenge me i also felt i had the attributes to offer counselling to clients
i looked at various courses online and read the blackford centre literature a number of times and after conparison and consideration felt this was the course best suited to my circumstances
very impressed arrived quickly, well packaged easy to sort.i wanted the hard copy course as i find it easier to study but with the benefit of the online version swell
i looked at other courses but having compared them all felt this one came out on top
hopefully obtain my diploma and use it to do some private counselling
give it a go but understand its hard work and the assignments are challenging both personally and mentally so don't take it on unless you are willing to put in the hard work.
for anyone who wants to study the time scales and resit processes are a bonus
started mid january 2016 just completed module 7good grades so far enjoying the course learned a lot about myself in the process.
the tutor system is great emily has helped greatly with her encouragement and advice
