Emily works as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist at her private practice based in Mamble, Worcestershire, where she lives with her partner, daughter and an assortment of animals. She sees many people from all walks of life with varying emotional issues that they wish to talk about and resolve.
After qualifying as a Counsellor, Emily went on to study Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Transactional Analysis and use these approaches as well as Person Centred Counselling with her clients. Emily also works with children and families referred through a Community Trust Trauma Therapy service, providing play therapy and systemic family therapy as required.
Emily holds a graduate based registration with the British Psychological Society and is a Senior Accredited member of the National Counselling Society. Emily is also undertaking further research in the field of burnout prevention amongst counselling therapists and hopes to complete her PhD in the next 2 years.

Nik works as an Integrated Therapist at his private practice based in Bournemouth, Dorset. Nik’s background includes work as a Specialist Mental Health Services Manager for Community Mental Health Services for over twenty years.
Nik’s approach is integrated, using a wide variety of approaches that enable individuals to identify, work towards and achieve positive change in their lives.
Nik is a member of the National Council of Psychotherapists (Snr Accred) Association, the Complementary and Natural Health Care Council, The International Neuro Linguistic Programme and Coaching Association and a Fellow with the Society of Holistic Therapists and Coaches.
Claire runs her own successful counselling business, and works both from home and from a shared office with colleagues. Having travelled and worked abroad a lot, Claire does a lot of work with Expatriates, but also has a lot of experience with teenagers and adults. Claire also offers couples and family therapy which she enjoys very much.
Claire is a certified ‘Integrative and Systemic Therapist’ which means she uses a blend of different types of therapy in her work (as opposed to one specific approach). This allows her to tailor her counselling techniques to the client’s individual needs and circumstances.
Having started her undergraduate studies a long time after leaving school, and after lots of hard work and perseverance, Claire obtained a degree in Psychology, and then went on to a Master’s degree in Occupational Psychology entirely by distance learning.
So she really does understand the excitement and the anxieties you may be feeling at this time. For Claire, distance learning worked really well, and was a very gratifying experience.
Please note: we’re unable to allocate you a specific tutor, because it depends on the availability of tutors on the date you register on the course.
