Dog Walking Course

Welcome to our Tutors

Our tutors are a talented and friendly bunch of people who enjoy helping our learners develop their skills.

Wendy Mason

Wendy has over 20 years experience working in animal care and owns a successful pet sitting, dog walking and grooming business. Wendy has worked in the animal care business for many years, which (amongst lots of other things) involves me travelling around locally looking after cats, dogs and other pets.

Wendy worked as a veterinary nurse for 14 years. This work involved veterinary practices, referral hospitals and a wide range of care and treatment of various animals. Wendy provided skilled supportive care for sick animals as well as undertaking minor surgery, monitoring during anaesthesia, medical treatments and diagnostic tests under veterinary supervision

Wendy also helps people with advice on their pets and runs a pet taxi too. As with any worthwhile job, it does take time, hard work and commitment to get the business off the ground, but the hard work is rewarded with a career offering variety, interest and daily contact with animals and their owners.

Wendy lives in Norfolk with her 5 cats and a dog called Beany.

Shana Gilbert

Shana is a qualified pet groomer who also offers other services such as dog walking, home visits, and night sits.

While running her grooming business customers used to ask Shana is she knew of anyone who offered these services, being asked this question a lot spurred her into action!

Pet Sitting and Walking is a service that is in high demand. With only a bit of advertising Shana soon became very busy, and was earning a good wage.

Shana lives in Bedfordshire with her husband who is a prison officer, two daughters and five dogs, (three Chihuahuas, a Tibetan Mastiff and a Standard Poodle!)

Please note: we’re unable to allocate you a specific tutor, because it depends on the availability of tutors on the date you register on the course.
