I am on the module on portraiture and put myself forward to take photographs for a wedding reception which was advertised at our local camera club. I did not know the couple and it was a huge learning curve especially as the reception didn’t start until 5 o'clock and the light was particularly stark and strong being a sunny evening. This set up even more challenges than I’d expected, but having gone through all 500 photographs, there are about 10% which have come out well and I am truly glad I madly put myself forward for such a task.
They had 150 guests and there was a Ceilidh after the drinks on the terraced lawns. The Marquee was very large, but used my hotshoe flash anyway to capture some shots in there.
It was more for experience than the fee i am being paid which is just a small token.
