Welcome to our tutors

Our tutors are a talented and friendly bunch of people who enjoy helping our learners develop their skills.

Anni Wilton-Jones

Over the years, Anni has taught children and young people of all ages and also adults. Currently, she is a Dyslexia Support Tutor in an FE College and with Open University students. She is also a Learning Support Assistant, providing in-class support.

SEN has been Anni's specialist area of interest since 1999. She loves working with her students and helping them to develop their full potential.

Anni has a teaching qualification and an MA in Special Educational Needs, which included a Specialist SpLD Teacher's qualification.

Sophie Watkins

Sophie has worked as a secondary school science teacher for 6 years.

During her career as a teacher, she has worked in primary schools on ‘transition projects’ – these are projects aimed at helping pupils cope with the move from primary to secondary school. She has also been involved in health education, environmental education, and raising ethnic minority achievement.

In her current post, she is involved in training teaching assistants, and extending their role in the classroom.

Ann-Marie Vickers

Ann-Marie has worked as a teaching assistant for the past 15 years. She qualified with a Nursery Nurse qualification in 1996 and as a result has been working at a primary school since 1997.

Over the years she has worked with most needs including dyslexia, dyspraxia, Asperger's, hearing impairment, speech impairment, bilingualism and ADHD.

Ann-Marie has experienced a lot of in school and out of school training, including literacy intervention schemes such as Talk Partners, Hi-five, Better Reading Partners and Phonics. Numeracy intervention schemes such as Springboard, Wave 3, Supporting pupils with SEN in numeracy and literacy. She has also achieved the NVQ in supporting teaching and learning.
